Branchlets densely white cottony obscurely glandular. Olearia axillaris dc benth. Its size seemingly defies the fact that it is a member of the daisy asteraceae plant family with small yellow flowers being produced between march and august. Erect much branched shrub 0 2 0 5 3 m high.Bushy shrub to c. White cream yellow jan to jul or nov to dec. Leaves alternate subsessile linear to narrow oblanceolate 6 10 25 mm long 1 3. Branching shrub 2 3 m tall with the branches and undersides of leaves covered in a woolly mat of very fine dense hairs giving the plant an overall grey green appearance.
Small light cream to yellow flowers. Native to western australia south australia new south wales tasmania and victoria. Soft silver green grey leaves can be lightly pruned to keep compact or left to grow into a more open small shrub. Commonly known as the coastal daisybush or wild rosemary it was one of the first australian edible plants to be recognised as such by europeans.
